You are not living in Kenya since yesterday so you should be aware of the water shortage and also the drouth which is going on. What on earth were you thinking when you splashed water in your garden for the entire day??? Seriously … entire your fault…..and stop complaining that nothing is working in Kenya. You know where the airport is.
A person who calls herself a ‘posh lady’ in a ‘posh car’ is so british!!! That is the only concern you guys have.

It’s been an interesting journey, that’s more rewarding of late, due to the long slog.

Comment on If you think it’s all mud huts, you’re wrong. Cool, wealthy, happening – Kenya’s growing middle class. by africaex http://africaexpatwivesclub.com/2016/08/think-mud-huts-youre-wrong-cool-wealthy-happening-kenyas-capital-growing-middle-class/#comment-4085 Mon, 24 Apr 2017 11:23:59 +0000 http://africaexpatwivesclub.com/?p=2848#comment-4085 Interesting viewpoint but I cannot subscribe to the view that all money for excess and entertainment in the country is trickling down from corrupt politicians (although for some, that could be the case). However, I do agree that there’s still plenty of hustle required to succeed and it’s not all champagne and crazy living for all (although there is evidently money for middle class kenyans to enjoy large social events like Blankets&Wine, Safari7s, live music events etc).
Huge international brands are still entering the Nairobi market in 2017 launching within new malls such as Garden City, The Hub and Two Rivers (largest mall in East Africa); Carrefore, Pizza Hut, Swarovski, Mac, Burger King, Florence&Fred and LC Waikiki (mega clothing chain from Turkey) to name but a few. And even better news, quality homegrown brands are holding their own and their place in the market (Vivo Activewear, Palacina Interiors, Suzie Beauty, Dormans/Artcaffe etc).
